Parakaleo is the 2016 Love Gift Recipient
Parakaleo is the Love Gift recipient for 2016! Sponsored by the PCA's Women's Ministry, the annual Love Gift promotes denominational connectionalism by highlighting one ministry and encouraging churches to support it financially.
“We are excited to have this opportunity to share how Parakeleo changes lives by coming alongside women in ministry. The Love Gift will enable us to expand our training opportunities and respond to the many requests we receive for training, coaching, and network groups for church planting spouses.”
A short video profiling Parakaelo's ministry features interviews with ministry founders and church planting spouses from several cities. The video will be shown at General Assembly, at Transformed: Philadelphia and at each of the other six regional Women's Ministry Transformed conferences. Parakaleo will also offer an optional pre-conference training, "Taste of Parakaleo", at each Transformed conference location.
“We’d love to have every church show the video at a worship service, women’s event, or other gathering.”

Katie Sica, wife of City Church of Wilmington pastor Jason Sica, spoke about the support she has received from Parakaleo at the Heritage Presbytery Women's Conference at Glasgow Church on March 12, 2016. Katie participates in a Parakaleo group in Baltimore. She & Jason started planting City Church about six years ago. City Church became a full PCA church on February 28, 2016.
Parakaleo Leadership Training, Philadelphia, July 13-16, 2016
There are several church plants in and near the Heritage Presbytery. Katie was able to attend Parakaleo Leadership Training in Philadelphia in July 2016.

Since 1974, the Love Gift has raised vital funds for RUF, Engaging Disabilities (formerly Special Needs Ministries), and others. Funds raised in this year's Love Gift will be used to equip new Parakaleo trainers, coaches, and network leaders who will then train others.
